Animation and VFX Industry
In India, Animation and VFX Industry is right on the growth track. With the Regional Animation demand on rise, introduction of new kids’ channels, many Indian studios working on high quality outsourcing projects, the animation industry continues to grow. It is expected to grow at 10.2 % in FY 18-23 as KPMG in India Analysis,2018 suggests.
Not only Animation, but Indian VFX players are also moving up the value chain. Many of the leading VFX houses are contributing to major block busters in foreign markets and the demand of VFX both in domestic films and TV shows has also increased remarkably.
As the Animation and VFX industry is growing, so does the demand for highly skilled professionals in the field. One of such initiatives is setting up of Skill Development Centres – DDU Kaushal Kendra setup by MHRD, Govt of India.
