B. Voc Management and Secretarial Practices organized an extension lecture on ‘Self-Management’ on April 8, 2019. The resource person for this lecture was Dr. Zakkariya K.A. He is the director of DDU Kaushal Kendra Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Kerala. His area of research and teaching includes Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management,Marketing,Sales Management, Consumer Behaviour,Personality,Startups,Attitude Management etc. He gave detailed knowledge about Self Management in a very lucid manner. He also told that there are various determinants of personality like heredity,culture,status etc.He makes difference between altitude and attitude in a very comprehensive way.

He also advised the students not to compare themselves with others.It hinders the growth and personality of people.The concept of motivation was also clarified with various stories and examples. The session was very interactive. Dr.Zakkariya conducted various tests to assess the confidence level and IQ level of students.
